i'm a sexy asian beast

it's friday.week one of band camp is over.
and i'm VERY tan/sunburned.
we got show music and started learning drill on wednesday.i totally nailed the drill,but the music leaves something to be desired.i've only been playing baritone for like,three weeks.Chris says i'm already pretty good(he called me and nicole hardcore),and i really need to work on the show.i brought my baritone home so i can tackle all the quarter note triplet runs that are so very evil.
and those high notes,GOD.
we played as a band today,complete with battery and pit(battery is the drumline with snares,tenors,bass drums,sometimes cymbals.pit is the front ensamble with all the mallet instruments and synth.)it sounds really cool.the show opens with the snares playing on their drums with these little mini-rakes,and it sounds so awesome.i don't know what the colorguard has planned;we still have yet to find a guard instructor.
but it's really fun.i like baritone.
but i won't be getting much sleep until saturday evening.i've got a community clean-up tomorrow at 8am.yaaayyy...
